While the lap harp is more portable, it is
actually easier for a beginner to play the larger 4-octave Lorraine
Harp. It has 7 more low strings (a full octave) and stands on its
4 attractive removeable turned legs. The additional range in the
base gives you those rich low notes. This harp is 48 inches high
(56 inches with the legs), 23 inches deep, 13 inches wide, and weighs
15 pounds.
